Something to consider as you listen to Dr. Hudson—could this happen under a privately-owned, commodity-based monetary system?  I say No, it could not happen.  Perhaps we are seeing the frightening, unconsidered consequences of a fiat monetary system under the complete control of government; i.e., what if government itself is taken over by criminals?  Patrick Barron
